I was just sitting here playing around on my phone, playing some of the emulator videos I uploaded to youtube, and I was just thinking how cool it would be to have the emulator on our cellphones at some point. The way these phones keep getting more and more advanced, maybe at some point in the future it will be possible to have the emulator on iphones, android, blackberries, etc. I'm certainly no expert, but I wonder how much more advanced these phones will have to get before they are capable of running the emulator?

It would depend on what version of software it runs in the phone's Operating System. Some now run on Windows, and others on Java, and others are yet classified (Patent office loves these things, lol). It would also depend on other factors that others in this Forum would chime in and possibly answer this thread too. C'Mon Y'all, I need a little help here explaining.

As I've said in other threads, we're only developing the emulator software to run on Windows (only XP and later with version 3). James pretty much explains why we won't be developing an app that runs on mobile devices.

I actually wasn't making a suggestion when I started this thread. I actually started this thread in the general discussion forum and it got moved here. Sorry about the confusion on that. I know you guys have no plans of creating a mobile emulator, I was just bringing this up to see if it would be possible WAY down the road if and when cellphones may get advanced enough to have the proper software to run the emulator. It was more just a curiosity of mine than anything. Thanks for the info on this James. Keep up the good work on what you guys are doing polarbear. We're all anxiously waiting for v3. Looks great from what I've seen.
